I’m Here to Help

Navigating the challenges that children and families face today can feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with emotional and behavioral issues like ADHD/ADD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Adjustment Disorders, or Generalized Anxiety Disorder. You don’t have to go through it alone—I’m here to help.

I specialize in providing compassionate, individualized care for children up to 18, working closely with families to create a safe and supportive environment where your child can thrive. Through evidence-based therapy and a holistic approach, I aim to empower children to manage their emotions, improve their behavior, and build confidence. Together, we can find ways to foster growth, healing, and resilience for your child and family.

What is child and family counseling?

Child and family counseling is a therapeutic process designed to support children and their families in overcoming emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. It provides a safe space for children to express themselves while involving family members to foster healthy relationships and effective communication.

What types of issues do you address?

We specialize in treating a range of issues including ADHD/ADD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Adjustment Disorders, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and more. Our goal is to help children manage emotions and behaviors while improving family dynamics.

How do I know if my child needs counseling?

If your child is experiencing ongoing emotional or behavioral challenges that are impacting their school performance, social relationships, or home life, counseling may be beneficial. Signs to look for include frequent mood swings, withdrawal from activities, aggression, anxiety, or difficulty concentrating.

How long does counseling take?

The duration of counseling depends on your child’s individual needs. Some children benefit from short-term counseling over a few months, while others may require long-term support. Progress is regularly reviewed to ensure the best outcomes.

Will parents be involved in the counseling process?

Yes, family involvement is a key part of the counseling process. We often include parents and caregivers in sessions to help improve communication, understanding, and the overall family dynamic. However, individual sessions with the child may also be part of the treatment.
